The rooms are nice. Not much to say.
Overall, this place is great. It's like going to camp in the summer, only in a hotel. If you don't expect brand new everything, it's GREAT! It was clean, friendly, welcoming, had a nice Lodge appeal to it with plenty of little sitting areas to congregate. I read some reviews that were not so appealing and made me cringe, but those in my opinion were a little harsh and not warranted. There is a nice "Town square" you can visit that has a fire pit and grocery store, restaurants, and little shops. (Hallmark atmosphere) I will say, the breakfast at the hotel is something to avoid. It was not fabulous what so ever. All in all if you don't expect perfection it is very nice.
The Resort, as a whole, is amazing!! The Snowy Owl Inn does the job for a place to lay your head and get cleaned up. It's a little outdated, but does have a large Jacuzzi tub, if you're there with a loved one! (I was there on a Mens retreat...so the tub didn't get used)!
This was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. First off let's start with when I got there. Absolutely nobody was in the lobby, our keys and paperwork were just left on the counter along with someone else's, completely unguarded! Second off it was absolutely dead inside the rest of the hotel, not one staff member could be found throughout the whole place. Next let's talk about their rooms. Absolutely horrible. The beds are the cheapest thing you will find, the pillows are so uncomfortable that nobody with me could sleep, one of them actually slept on the floor due to how uncomfortable the bed and pillows where. The bathrooms only provided some organic natural circle of soap and a tiny shampoo bottle. No conditioner and the towels don't even work like towels, they are so small. The television in the rooms are so small and so old that it's really not even worth using unless you like shows from the early days of color television. While trying to search for an employee member that should have been at the front desk I noticed that constant creaking noises came from the roof and walls. This place was literally a ghost town. Also I had forgotten to pack chap stick and when I once again tried to find an employee member I noticed they left many important documents out. And of course I found no employees ANYWHERE. Trying to find the "pool" also was fruitless, out of my party of 5 (including me) nobody could find the pool or an employee. Also if anyone does decide to stay here beware of the sudden stench in the first lobby, it smells like rotten animal parts. Sleeping in your car and using the bathroom at one of the local pubs would honestly be better. Others may like this place but from the service that my group and I received I highly dislike this inn. Also don't bother trying to call and employee or room service, there is no number for them.
The staff is very friendly, the rooms are adorably cozy and comfortable, and the jacuzzi tub was a great surprise! Conveniently located by town square, too!
