We spent four days at the Hampton Inn in Waterville in early September. It was a pleasant surprise: a clean and up-to-date hotel with all the amenities; a spacious room; and helpful employees everywhere. Downstairs is an indoor pool, a coin-op laundry, and a business center. The hotel offers a free daily breakfast, and it was much better than the standard scrambled-eggs-and-waffles fare of most chains. There was lots of tasty food and a slightly different menu every morning. Dunkin' Donuts is a short walk across the parking lot, and there is shopping and restaurants nearby. Less than a minute off I-95 on one of the main drags down into town. We'll be staying there again.
This Hampton Inn branch is exceptional. Immediately, I was greeted with joy and enthusiasm by the receptionist. When I was coming down with a headache, that same receptionist was happy to offer me several options of medicine to help me. The breakfast is delicious, and it is staffed by the kindest people you will ever meet. I have no complaints. This is an excellent establishment and I highly recommend staying here if you are in Waterville!
We are staying on second floor away from elevator. Quiet hallway. All new rooms, decor, lines. Comfy bed. Well equipped room with mini fridge and microwave. Decent breakfast. Free coffee all the time. Conveniently located near Kingdom Life Church in Oakland. Plenty of places to eat nearby and easy highway access.
The Hampton Inn easy access on/off the highway, and close to the event location. The room was clean and comfortable as well as quiet. We had 1 small issue with breakfast timing but management resolved it quickly and to our satisfaction. Overall a very enjoyable stay. I would recommend to others.
From the destitute, age-worn pavement, and rural country vibe coming off the freeway, you would never know this to be a nice place. However, this place has been newly renovated and feels brand new. I'm a Diamond member so I'm in these Hilton brands a lot and Hampton's can be hit or miss - the Heavenly beds are always nice but the overall feel can be aged. Like a few of the new Hampton's I've been in like the one just outside of Columbus, OH with a water feature in the lobby, these rooms have full hardwood (i.e. faux), no carpet, and new furniture. All the outlets are new with USB charging ports. Unfortunately, there's no digital key, they still use the old swipe-style cards. The fitness center is open 24 hrs, a big plus, and has new equipment with a working television remote, another big plus...small things matter, hotel management visitors reading this thread! The breakfast is typical Hampton with their oatmeal and eggs+meat source or their grab-and-go bags; only downside was there was no to-go cups with lids out for easy consumption - if they were available, you probably would have to ask. Great property, friendly staff, I don't do this often, but I recommend!
