Had a great meal at Governors Restaurant. Steak tips were delish and liver and onions was a good meal too. Even took 2 pieces of berry pie to go. Plastic forks were too flimsy tho.
Conveniently located right by I-95. The food is very good. We had fried clams which were very good. Their coleslaw and buns are delicious. The service is very good too. I wanted olive oil instead of butter but they didn't have. I still recommend if you are in the area.
Lobster stew was flavorful but not the best in town. Lobster rolls where fantastic. Pie another delicious way to end a meal. Very Average ambiance and nothing special for atmosphere. Good service and food was fairly quick.
Home style cooking at it's best. The staff make you feel at home and complete the experience. Wonderful desserts and too many to list. Truly a favorite in the Waterville area.
We were staying at the Best Western across the street but decided to visit Governor's instead because of their large menu. We were not disappointed. It was difficult to make our decision but once we had, we weren't disappointed. The portions were very large which made it a little easier to skip all of the amazing desserts tempting us in their glass cases.
