We had bought some lobster roll sandwiches, but the seafood place had no inside seating and it was raining. A search for "picnic pavilion" and a plan to visit the Waterville Farmers Market led us to this park. Children played in the playground; a couple talked out of the rain at the next pavilion; and we had a dry place to eat our lunch. It looked like a well-planned park, exceptMaybe it's a Maine thing, we don't know, maybe it's still winter season in Maine and nobody goes to parks yet. But there were no trash cans, garbage bins, recycle containers, whatever one would expect from a green state. We had to dump our trash in the cans on Main Street, Waterville.
